We were happy to see more new faces in Grand Turk this past week. Two nice pioneer couples from Texas were visiting the Jacksons. We enjoyed working with them in the ministry and hearing about their spiritual goals. One couple is in the process of further simplifying to avail themselves to serving where the need is great. The other couple is just a couple weeks away from starting an assignment in Arkansas. The brother is a recent graduate from the School for Single Brothers. They were married in June. He also gave our Sunday talk so we had a visiting speaker! It is always nice to make new friends and connections within Jehovah's organization. You never know when you may have the opportunity to cross paths again. It is always fun to stay in touch and see where serving Jehovah takes them next. We are glad they chose to spend time here with our congregation.

In addition, we had some visiting brothers from Provo come in behalf of the RBC on Saturday morning. I had the privilege of preparing a portion of their noon meal. Hopefully, a new water filtration system will soon be in the works for the Kingdom Hall.
Saturday night we had three of our little brothers over to watch a movie. I was severely outnumbered. We popped popcorn and enjoyed the entertainment. They were certainly more entertaining than the movie. There isn't a lot to do here, but we keep it simple and just enjoy being together.
The children are a joy! They are so loving! Here is Angie again after a meeting for field service. She is so incredibly cute and smart! You would never know she is only 3 years old!

Chad has been working some remotely. He sat in on a conference call each day last week after being asked to assist with a project for his employer. They then requested that he be present in person for a meeting Thursday in Houston. He accepted the invitation so we get a change of scenery for a few days! We leave this afternoon for Provo so we can catch the early flight to Miami then Houston tomorrow. We will return Friday after a long day of travel. It is a quick trip, but it affords me the opportunity to some real grocery shopping and pick up some needed supplies. Trader Joe's and Whole Foods, here I come! Plus, we get to sleep in AC and have a little date night :) Oh, the little things you appreciate after being without them for a while. It doesn't take much to excite me these days :) We have two more scheduled trips to the States for the month of October. The next will be a week long. Chad will spend half the week in Houston again working and then meet me at home in Ponte Vedra. In addition, we are still planning our trip after the assembly since it was booked prior to Chad's work schedule. We look forward to seeing our family and friends on both occasions! It will be a busy month with our scheduled CO visit and Special Day Assembly as well. When we return in November, Chad goes to elder's school. We have much to anticipate!
Otherwise, we had a good, busy week in the ministry for which we are always grateful. We will catch you up on our trip when we return! Until then, we send our love and greetings to all!
